Andrew Openshaw – (Managing Director )
After completing his pharmacy degree at Rhodes, Andy concluded his pharmacy internship at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals (Glaxo). He subsequently became a production pharmacist, sales representative and a manager in both sales and marketing at Glaxo. In 1991 he left to setup a national veterinary pharmaceutical distribution group called Lakato Vet Ag Ltd. He was also a founding partner in Professional Pet Products (Vets Choice), now owned by Royal Canine.
In 1995 he sold his veterinary interests and took over TDC (Pty) Ltd (TDC), a telecommunications business specializing in access network products. He developed TDC into a major supplier of high tech products to Telkom (sales value of systems to Telkom SA exceeded R700 million).
